3000 Series Interior

All 3000 series Cobras had black interiors. The Comp and SC cars had vinyl covered seats, whereas the street cars had leather covered seats. The seats were mounted on Leveroll seat tracks with the distinct "Leveroll" gold emblem on the adjustment handle. Street cars had leather map pockets on the doors and a leather pocket behind the seats spanning the rear bulkhead. This pocket behind the seats was used to stow the convertible soft top and the door curtains. The bows for the soft top were stowed in the trunk, being snapped into clips built into the trunk floor. The door curtains had three studs in the bottom that fitted into three holes in the top of the door. The soft top bow fitted into a sleeve that was welded to the body superstructure tubing just behind the door. The bow had one sub-bow going to the rear of the car to hold the top up.

Except for the two Supersnake Cobra's, all of the 3000 series cars were equipped with four speed transmissions. The shift was a standard Ford shifter similar to the Mustang shifter, only modified by turning the handle around to curve forward and angled to the driver. Street cars had a cigarette ashtray just forward of the shifter on the transmission tunnel. The chrome parking brake handle was located on the right side of the transmission tunnel at about the passengers thigh level.

All cars used a 16" wood rimmed aluminum framed steering wheel. The turn signal switch stalk was typically located on the right side of the steering column.
